The 2014 Volvo S60 vs. the 2014 Lexus IS 250
In the battlefield for the hearts and minds of
Two Strong Choices: One Winner
If you're shopping for a luxury sedan around
Performance is another area in which the S60 holds an edge. It comes equipped with a turbocharged five-cylinder engine that delivers 250 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. The IS 250, meanwhile, is equipped with a 2.5L V6 that produces 204 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. Despite the difference n power, both vehicles are capable of achieving 21 mpg city/30 mpg highway when equipped with two-wheel drive.
But the disparity between these two cars goes well beyond their price tags and their engines - even the interior space presents a contrast. While the difference isn't tremendous, the Volvo gives you more in the way of front and rear headroom and shoulder room than the Lexus. On paper, it's a small difference, but it's not hard to imagine the difference becoming very apparent on long trips away from the Manchester area.
